Every girl dreams of being swept off her feet by a knight in shining armour. And for one lucky bride, that dream came true.
Christine Philpott married her very own Templar Knight, Vernon Miller, in Rochester on Saturday (pictured left).
The couple, who got engaged live on kmfm, said 'I do' in the 14th century underground vault at the George Vaults pub and the jolly occasion had a medieval theme.
Vernon, 48, caused a stir as he arrived in the High Street on horseback, dressed head to toe in a traditional knight's costume, complete with chain mail and sword.
Not to be outdone, Christine, 50, arrived on a horse and cart a short time later, dressed in a traditional white dress and surrounded by her bridesmaids in crimson.
As she was helped down by two of the groom's ushers, also dressed in knights' costumes, crowds gathered with their camera phones to take her picture.
After posing for more than 10 minutes, Christine joked: "Can I go and get married now?"
All of the wedding guests had entered into the spirit of the occasion and wore medieval-style costumes.
Taxi driver Vernon (pictured right) said: "It was an absolutely fantastic day and it's all thanks to the KM Group in the first place."
Christine and Vernon, of Wayfield Road, Chatham, are both regular listeners to kmfm.
They met at a kmfm Christmas party and got engaged in January last year, live on kmfm's evening show. Vernon popped the question with a poem he had written himself.
The couple are leaving for a honeymoon in France this morning.
