Youngsters got the chance to make their own Christmas crafts at a drop-in event.

The Crafts and Christingle event was held at St Mary Magdalene Church, in Gillingham Green, on Monday, December 21.

People of all ages made seasonal gifts with the help of a member of the congregation.

The church is open every Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) between 9.00 and 11.30am for a coffee drop in, and every Friday between 9.30am and 4.00pm

Rev Suzanne Pattle said: “About 90 people came along to the event, which is now a regular part of the church’s outreach to the community.

“This historic parish church has been at the heart of the community for centuries.

“The Craft and Christingle Drop in is just one of a number of new initiatives that have been introduced in the last couple of years.”
