Craig David will play a second Castle Concert following exceptional demand for tickets.
He’ll perform on Tuesday, July 11 in addition to his sold out Thursday, 13 July gig.
When tickets went on sale last week, the show sold out in just 10 minutes.
Craig tweeted shortly after following a wave of messages from fans unable to get tickets, saying: “Sorry to anyone that missed out on tickets for my Rochester Castle show. Sold out in under 10mins. Thank you! Gonna be big! @castleconcerts”
Medway Council’s Head of Events Carl Madjitey said: “We are delighted to announce that Craig David will play a second night at the Castle Concerts. We knew Craig David tickets were going to sell out quickly, but the demand totally exceeded our expectations.”
Sixteen years after his debut album Born To Do It reached number one, Craig’s back at the top with his latest album, Following My Intuition which flew straight to the number one spot in the official album chart when released last year.
With a fan base spanning decades, tickets for this open air, intimate gig with one of Britain’s best male solo artists, are set to be in high demand.
Audiences will be filled with a new generation who are listening with fresh ears and for others Craig’s music will spark euphoric nostalgia in fans that have waited for his return. They can expect all the classics and hits from the latest album.
Tickets for Craig David’s extra Castle Concert performance on Tuesday, July 11 go on sale at 10am on Thursday, April 13.
