A man has been taken to hospital after colliding with a car.

Emergency services were called to South Avenue, opposite Gillingham Business Park, at 12.10pm.

One witness said traffic was being diverted while paramedics treated the pedestrian at the scene.

He was later taken to hospital with a suspected back injury.

The road was cleared just before 1pm.
