Motorists suffered major delays after a crash blocked two lanes on Blue Bell Hill.

Police confirmed two vehicles collided on the Chatham-bound A229 and ambulance crews were sent to the scene.

It happened near the Shell garage at around 5.08pm.

At one point queues were stretching all the way back to junction 5 of the M20 coastbound as a result.

A KCC Highways official said: "Expect long delays and use alternative routes where possible."
