Road closures are still in place following a two-vehicle crash in Walderslade Woods this morning.

Emergency crews were called to the crash near the Bridgewood Manor Hotel in Walderslade Woods Road.

Both directions of the A2045 are closed and traffic in the area is slow due to recovery work.

Three people are believed to have sustained injuries in the accident which happened at about 11am.

Police remain at the scene and are diverting traffic on to the A229.

The extent of the injuries is not yet known.

The vehicles involved were a Volvo estate and Ford Focus saloon.

It is believed it may have been caused by faulty traffic lights.

Firefighters made the scene safe and waited for paramedics to arrive to assess patient.
