A casualty was taken to hospital after being involved in a crash.

Police and paramedics were called to Maidstone Road in Chatham early this morning after a collision between two vehicles.

The incident, near the petrol station, was reported at 7.40am.

Police spokesman Vicki Foster said: "One person was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. The road was closed at 8.24am and reopened at 9.18am."

No arrests have been made.

The ambulance service has been asked for more information.
