A crash on Rochester bridge meant the road was closed coming from Strood

A number of cars have been involved in a crash on Rochester bridge.

The road going from Strood High Street into Rochester's Corporation Street on the A2 was blocked by the pile up just at the end of the bridge.

Ambulance crews and police were called to the scene just before 12.40pm

It was reported a Black Audi A4, a white Fiat 500 and a silver Subaru Impreza were involved in a collision on the Rochester-bound carriageway of the A2.

Minor injuries were reported and all three drivers were taken to hospital.

The road was reopened at 2.30pm.
