Traffic was queuing on the M2 after an accident believed to involve four cars.

Two lanes were closed on the London-bound carriageway between junction 2 for the Medway Bridge and junction 1 for Strood.

Traffic was temporarily held while officers dealt with the accident.

All lanes have been reopened and delays have cleared.

Kent Police was called at 7.36am following the collision.

No serious injuries have been reported.
