Crashes on M2 near Strood and and Wainscott Bypass after heavy rain

Emergency crews were called after two crashes on major link roads following heavy rain this morning.

Highway officers and police were called after the crashes on the M2 and at the Wainscott Bypass at around 8.30am.

On the M2 a car and a van collided on the London-bound carriageway near Junction 2 at Strood, and the incident was dealt with by Highways officers.

Police were then called at 8.39am to a collision involving two cars on the Wainscott Bypass, and both vehicles have been moved from the carriageway.

No injuries were reported in either crash.
