Emergency crews were in Chatham High Street yesterday following reports that a person had collapsed.

Police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene at around 4.20pm, and a man was given emergency treatment.

The incident happened near to the Chockers shoe shop in the high street.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed he was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
