Firefighters tackled a blaze at garages in Rainham this afternoon.

Crews were called to Scott Avenue just before 3pm, where two domestic garages were alight. Two engines were sent to the scene.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames with compressed air foam for around 35 minutes.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
