Two fire engines were called to a kitchen blaze last night.
Crews were sent to Napier Road, Gillingham, at around 5.30pm to put out the fire.
Fireighters wore breathing equipment and used a hose reel jet to put out the blaze before using a pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke from the property.
One resident was left in the care of the ambulance service following the incident, which ended three hours later.
