FA Cup hero Elliot List signs Roy of the Rovers comic ahead of Gillingham's match against Swansea

Fans flocked to Priestfield yesterday to get their copies of a commemorative comic book signed.

Elliot List's 81st minute strike saw Gillingham famously beat Premier League Cardiff City in the third round of the FA Cup earlier this month.

Yesterday the forward was joined by gaffer Steve Lovell at the club's shop for an event to mark the launch of the latest edition of Roy of the Rovers.

The football-themed comic returned last year after a lengthy hiatus and the new FA-commissioned version is all about giantkillers.

There's a page dedicated to The Gills 1-0 win, while Barnet, Gillingham and Oldham Athletic's victories are also featured.

Tomorrow Gillingham travel to Wales to take on Championship team Swansea in the fourth round.

It's the furthest the side, who currently sit 19th in League One, have got in the competition since they lost to Burnley 3-1.

For Lovell, it'll be something of a homecoming.
