Bosses of a takeaway which has been trading for more than 25 years have decided to call it a day.
Chi's Chinese in Twydall Green, Gillingham, has been in business since the 1990s.
However, it will no longer be serving customers.
The closure was announced via a notice in the shop's window, which, according to a business nearby, has been up since Wednesday.
It read: "It is with great sadness we can no longer keep the shop open.
"We would like to thank you all for your custom [and] support over the years."
The shop has been contacted for further comment as to why it is no longer trading.
Lyn Harden says it was popular.
The Twydall resident said: "I used to use it and thought it was nice food, but the decor needed updating.
"There were always customers in there [though], and the staff were friendly too."
Others added “[for] 18 years I've used them” and “so gutted it's closed”.
It is not the first Chinese takeaway to close in the Medway Towns in recent months.
Noble House shut its doors from its home in John Street, Rochester, in the autumn.
The business had been serving people since 1993 before it stopped trading at the start of October.
