Cyclist dies on A228

A cyclist has died on the A228 at Cuxton today after coming off his bike.

The emergency services were called out to Sundridge Hill at about 10am after the man fell from his cycle.

It is not known at this stage what happened or how old the man is, but police said no other vehicles were involved.

The road has been sealed off by police to allow investigators to carry out examinations and motorists are being advised to avoid the area for the next couple of hours.

An investigation is being carried out to find out how the man died, but it is thought he may have suffered a heart attack.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “I can confirm the man has died.

“The road will be closed until investigators finish their examinations.”
