Motorists faced long delays after a crash on the Wainscott Bypass.

The three car smash happened at around 8.40am on A289 Hasted Road Eastbound.

One driver, a young university student, was suffering from chest pains and the other claimed to have whiplash.

The inside lane of the road was blocked by a Nissan Micra, which was involved in the accident, and there was slow traffic.

The road was clear by 10.45am.
