Three lanes have been closed and traffic is stationary after a crash involving a car and a lorry.

The accident happened on the M2 east-bound before J3 for the A229 (Chatham/Rochester).

Congestion is back to J2 for Strood and Rochester.

Kent Police roads officers reported there had been a slight injury crash. Officers have been working with highways officers and firefighters to clear the road.

A spokesman for Highways England said at around 7pm that traffic officers are on the scene and emergency services are en-route.

They advised motorists to allow extra time for their journey.
