A road has now reopened after a two car crash on the Northen Link Road.
Motorists earlier faced delays as they drove through the Medway Tunnel from Strood to Gillingham this afternoon.
People travelling in the area reported traffic built up on the Gillingham bound side of the A289 Pier Road section of the road.
The queues were a result of two car crash shortly after 1pm.
No one was seriously injured during the collision and the speed limit in the tunnel was reduced to 30mph.
