Even the roundabouts in one part of Kent are getting into the spirit of the Euros.

St George's flags have been painted on a series of mini roundabouts along Maidstone Road in Rainham.

People have been sharing snaps of the artwork online with one Facebook user commenting on Friday: "This made me smile this morning on my way to work."

The red crosses, which are already looking a little faded, have been painted at the junctions with Durham Road, Kenilworth Drive, Deanwood Drive and Arthur Road.

One in the centre of Rainham, on the A2 at the junction with Holding Street, had also been decorated.

It's not the first time the patriotic displays have appeared in the town.

The roundabouts were last painted like the national flag during the World Cup in 2018.

And people are delighted to see it has been done again.

One Facebook user said: "I was wondering if they'd be back. Remember them before. Makes you smile."

Another posted: "Whoever keeps doing it is a legend! My boys think it so cool."

Another commented: "Loved this last time they did it! Nothing wrong with being patriotic."

Residents in Gordon Road, Strood have also been getting into the spirit our the tournament by adorning the whole street with St George's flags.
