Delivery man attacked with bottle as he is robbed in Gillingham

Two men and two women are thought to have robbed a delivery man, leaving him with head injuries after he was attacked with a bottle.

The driver was making his way to his vehicle at around 9.15pm on Friday in Grange Road in Gillingham, when the group approached him.

One man was reported to have demanded cash from the victim before punching him in the face, and hitting him with a bottle.

A second suspect then used a knife to threaten the man before he was pushed backwards and continued to be assaulted by the first man.

One of the women then started going through the victim’s pockets and took his car keys and a quantity of cash.

They then went to the victim’s car where they stole his mobile phone and a tin of tobacco before they walked away from the scene.

The driver was left with head and facial injuries and went to hospital to be treated.

One suspect is described as a white man of large build with brown medium length straight hair and between 5ft 9ins and 5ft 10ins tall.

He was wearing a dark green jacket and blue jeans.

The second suspect was described as a white man with a large build and around 6ft tall.

The third suspect was described as a white woman with long dark brown hair and around 5ft 7ins tall; and the fourth is described a white woman who was of slim build with long dark hair. All suspects are described as having a local accent.
