A van filled with parcels was reportedly stolen while the delivery driver was out on her rounds.
Officers were called to Invicta Drive, Hoo, at 1pm on Thursday, October 10, to reports an unknown person had stolen her vehicle.
Following a search by the police, a man matching the description of the suspect was found just 30 minutes later in nearby Knights Road in the village.
The stolen van was also located in Marley Road, Hoo, with all the parcels still inside.
Police dog Boris was also deployed and tracked down the victim’s mobile phone in a nearby bush.
A 24-year-old man from Rochester has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified and drug driving.
He has since been bailed while inquiries continue.
