Plans have been laid out for the second phase of a development of hundreds of homes in a village.
Redrow Homes has applied to build a further 45 homes to extend its development of 184 homes off Town Road, Cliffe Woods, near Rochester.
Plans to build on the land date back to 2016 when Gladman Developments applied to build 225 homes there.
Medway councillors turned down the plans the following year.
An appeal was then put forward and upheld but following a call-in by the Secretary of State, permission was refused due to concerns over the impact the development would have on nearby designated bird habitats and a bus service which was deemed to be inadequate.
However, following a change in the national planning guidelines, the first reason for refusing the application was no longer valid.
The application for 225 homes came back to the council for consideration in 2021 and was approved.
The site was then bought by Redrow Homes and it reduced the number of houses and apartments it wanted to build on the site to 184, the plans for which were approved in February last year.
The next phase, if approved, would include 45 homes between one and five bedrooms, 12 of which would be affordable.
They would be accessed from Town Road, as was decided in the previous application.
The homes would be alongside allotments and a park which the developers have already got permission for.
The plans are due to be decided on by Monday, June 12.
Villagers are waiting for a public inquiry to get under way for a planning appeal lodged by developer Trenport Investment Ltd, which wants to build 250 homes on either side of Church Street, Cliffe.
The hearing is due to begin on Tuesday, May 16 and is expected to last up to five days.
