TK Maxx at Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre will open next month.

The store is moving into a new extension at the mall in Gillingham, creating 55 jobs.

It will welcome its first customers on Thursday, September 15.

It replaces the old food court and is opposite the former Bhs which closed on August 6. New Look will also move in.

TK Maxx sells brand-name clothes, shoes and accessories at discounted prices.

A spokesman for the chain said: “The new TK Maxx store will offer big labels and designer gems at up to 60% less than the RRP and at a significant discount to the price in a department store or on the high street, every single day.

"In store you will find a huge selection of fashion and accessories for women, men, kids as well as the home, all with amazing savings.

"With several deliveries arriving every week bringing thousands of new items to store, there will always be something new and exciting to discover."
