POLICE have released images of two men they wish to speak to in connection with a serious assault on a 19-year-old woman.

People are being asked to contact Medway police if they can help trace the whereabouts of 22-year-old Ali Khardo and 20-year-old Shamal Hussain.

The men, previously from the Gravesend area, were initially arrested in connection with a serious assault on a 19-year-old woman in Rochester High Street on November 4, but both men failed to attend the police station after being bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Mike Morgan, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘We are keen to locate these men and interview them further in connection with this serious offence.

“If you know where they are, please contact police and do not attempt to stop them yourself.

"We are hopeful that somebody will recognise them and come forward with some useful information."

Ali Khardo, 22, is 6ft and of medium build. Shamal Hussain, 20, is 5ft 6in and of stocky build.
