A dog owner has been charged over an incident in which a teenager was attacked by a Staffordshire bull terrier.
Gary Freeman, 43, is accused of failing to control a dog in his ownership in a public place after 13-year-old Liam Monks was attacked by a dog at the Garrison Sports Ground, Gillingham.
Freeman, of Johnson Avenue, Gillingham, has been released on police bail and will appear before Medway magistrates on Thursday, March 24.
Liam - pictured left - suffered a serious leg injury, which later required plastic surgery, at the East Grinstead Hospital.
The Staffordshire bull terrier believed to be responsible for the attack was taken into police care, but has since been destroyed.
A Gillingham boy, 15, who was also arrested in connection with the incident, on Wednesday, December 29, has been released without charge.
