Four legged friends made sure their coats were silky, eyes were sparkling and tails were wagging to compete in a dog show with a difference.
There were around 95 canine competitors in the Second Annual Halling Dog Show, in Low Meadow, Halling.
There were 18 classes, so every dog could have its day, including fluffiest friend, appealing eyes, waggiest tail, curly cutie and best vocals.
The day was organised by Chris Sousa Phipps.
He said: “It went really well, there were some really big classes.
“I think the most we had was 39 dogs in one.
“All were smiling, every event went well.
“It was really hot but luckily there was lots of shade and the dogs were all okay.
“It makes a change from last year, it was torrential rain.
“But there was lots of wagging tails and all the dogs were enjoying some special ice cream to cool down.
“There were no disasters in the ring - everyone was very well behaved and professional.”
Mr Sousa Phipps organises the annual event as a thanks to the Wisdom Hospice, in High Bank, Rochester, for caring for his father. The proceeds from the show go to the care home.
As for the third annual dog show Mr Sousa Phips said: “It is a huge effort getting everything organised but with any luck, I’m hoping we’ll be back again next year.
“I was up here at 6am this morning getting everything set up.
“We’ve had two weather extremes on both years so I’m praying next time it’s around 21 degrees with a little bit of cloud, that would be lovely.”
In total £650 was raised at the show.
