A BMW X5 driver spotted weaving across lanes of three major roads was found to be more than twice the legal drink-drive limit.
Sergiu Sologub was observed by police on the A2, the A282 and the M25 in Dartford.
Officers saw him driving slowly in the fast lane and noticed he wasn't overtaking or moving to the nearside lane on March 4.
When he started weaving in an out of the carriageway they stopped him.
The 31-year-old was given a breath test and arrested on suspicion of drink-driving before being taken to a police station.
When given further breath tests, he gave a reading of 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit is 35.
Sologub, of Camden Road, Gillingham, admitted drink-driving when he appeared before Medway magistrates on April 5.
Debbie Jones, prosecuting, said: "It was about 10.25pm at Dartford on the A282 and officers saw a BMW vehicle which didn't overtake and failed to move to the nearside lane. It was travelling slowly and and weaving in the carriageway.
"He was stopped and a breath test was positive. He's of previous good character."
The court also heard Sologub, who works on building sites, had been out with friends and he wouldn't normally drive after drinking.
However, there was not a space for him to park his BMW near his friend's home, so he took the risk and got behind the wheel.
Magistrates also heard he was remorseful and it was out of character for him as he understood what risk he posed to other road users.
The bench decided to ban Sologub from driving for 22 months, fined him £553 and ordered he pay a victim surcharge of £221 and £85 costs.
Chairman of the bench, Mark Tucker, said: "It was a bad standard of driving."
If Sologrub competes a drink-driving course, his ban will be reduced by a quarter."
