A dealer found with 2kg of drugs at his home has been jailed for more than six years.
Zubair Butt was arrested in April when police raided his home in Gordon Road, Gillingham.
The 27-year-old was found in an outbuilding, where officers also found one kilogram of cocaine, one kilogram of cannabis, five mobile phones, and £1,270 cash.
Butt was arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and cannabis.
He pleaded guilty to both charges and, on Friday, June 23, was sentenced to six years and three months in prison at Maidstone Crown Court.
The judge also ordered for all of the mobile phones to be destroyed, and the cash to be seized, which will be donated to Kent Police charities.
Investigating officer DC Jack Geere, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “Kent Police takes drugs trafficking seriously.
“Illegal drugs networks are responsible not only for supplying controlled substances, but for other associated violent crimes.
“The sale of these drugs, which are unregulated and potentially dangerous for consumption, pose a risk to the wider community as well as those involved in buying and selling.
“It remains a force priority to remove illicit drugs from the streets and ensure that offenders of drugs-related crimes are brought before the courts.”
