When cracking open a tin of tomato soup, you don't expect to find a stash of class A drugs.
That's what police officers discovered during a raid in St Andrews Road, Gillingham.
Alongside the items found in the can, a further 150 wraps of suspected heroin and crack cocaine were found at the address on Wednesday, March 20.
Officers arrested Abdul Dahir, Benedict Erskine and a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of supplying a controlled substance.
The 15-year-old boy, who is from Uxbridge, was released pending further inquiries.
Dahir, 28 and of no fixed address and Erskine, 21 and of Bargrove Close in Crystal Palace were charged with possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
Both were remanded in custody and appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, March 21.
Dahir will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday, April 18.
Erskine was also sent to crown court but the date is yet to be confirmed.
The search was part of a police crackdown on knife crime and associated offences, such as supplying drugs.
