TEENAGE netminder Jonathan Silvester will play the biggest game of his life on Sunday.

With number one Ian Rowlands unavailable, the youngster will start his first ever play-off game and on his 16-year-old shoulders is a dream of a four-pronged assault on honours.

But coach Kev Parrish is confident in his ability: "He has already shown what a talent he is in games against Chelmsford and Basingstoke. I have no doubt he will come good."

With two trophies in the bag, the Mos reached the English National Hockey League cup final last Sunday for the first time in three years and this weekend concentrate on their fourth aim, the play-offs.

The Mos travel to Oxford City Stars who have lost all three of their play-off games, including a 11-2 drubbing at the Ice Bowl, but Parrish is not underestimating them.

He said: "They have started badly, but sometimes we do not get the best results when we play up there. We lost 8-6 up there last season and drew 2-2 the last time we were there so we know it will be tough.

"We have loads to play for, they have nothing but pride and the desire to stop us."

With an impressive 70-strong travelling support, last Sunday’s long trip to Billingham was worthwhile as Invicta won 5-2 to cruise through to the final - where they will face either Sheffield or Oxford - 10-3 on aggregate.
