Teachers from a dance school have visited some of their self-isolating pupils dressed as the Easter bunny.

The group from The Street Academy of Dance had bought 120 chocolate eggs in preparation for a disco on April 8, which has now been cancelled.

One person dressed in a grey bunny costume joined by teachers Lauren Bowden and Jennifer Mitchell before visiting houses in Walderslade and Lordswood, dropping the eggs off at the front door and chatting to children through their windows.

Principal Nichole Fitzmaurice said: "The bunny hopped past the windows playing games of peek-a-boo from the front garden jumping up surprising the dancers and their siblings and then a chocolate egg for every child in the house was left on the doorstep as the bunny hopped away.

"The faces on the children was priceless and the parents and families were so grateful, it really did make their day."

Gemma Dodsworth's children George, Primrose and Darcey were visited by the team during their self-isolation.

George has Down's Syndrome and is classified as a high risk person.

Mrs Dodsworth said: "I want to thanks the girls so much, it's such a lovely thing to do. My kids are so excited that they saw the Easter bunny, it's such a thoughtful thing to do.

Nichole and her colleagues also visited St Thomas Moore primary school in Bleakwood Road, Chatham, to treat the children.
