Eight men have been handed over to Border Force after Kent Police discovered them in the back of a lorry.

Officers from the special constabulary attended Maidstone Road, Rochester at 8:30pm on Friday.

On arrival they found a lorry where eight men were hiding.

Paramedics checked them for injuries and police arrested a 42-year-old on suspicion of facilitation.

He remains in police custody.
