Police are appealing for the occupants of a black saloon-style car to come forward after a woman in her 80s was seriously hurt in a collision.
The incident happened on Tuesday last week around 4.30pm when the pedestrian was struck by a red Ford Fiesta in Wigmore Road, Gillingham, between Bredhurst Road and the roundabout which connects with Hoath Way.
The pensioner was taken to hospital for treatment to her leg, arm and chest and remains there in a serious but stable condition.
Police have spoken to the Fiesta driver and the injured woman but believe some key witnesses are yet to come forward.
After studying CCTV, officers are appealing for the occupants of a black car, possibly a Ford Mondeo, to get in touch.
This vehicle was was not involved in the collision and its occupants are not suspected of wrongdoing.
It is believed they may have seen the incident take place, or the pedestrian and the Fiesta in the moments leading up to it.
