Police, council, fire service and NHS chiefs will be put under scrutiny at a Medway version of Question Time.
The event will be held at New Brompton College, Marlborough Road, Gillingham on Wednesday, December 9, from 7pm to 8pm.
If successful it will be repeated in other parts of Medway during 2010.
Neil Davies (left), chief executive of Medway Council, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for the people of Medway to come along and put their questions directly to the people running services on their behalf.
"We will be ready to answer questions put to us as best we can. Those that we can’t answer on the night will be responded to, where possible, within five working days."
Ch Supt Steve Corbishley (be,ow), area commander for Kent Police in Medway, said: "I welcome this event. It is right to meet, listen and be put on the spot regarding local concerns.
"We are a listening organisation and want to know what residents need us to tackle."
Marion Dinwoodie, Chief Executive of NHS Medway, said: "Health and healthcare are of vital importance to people and I welcome questions on any aspects of these. Feedback from local people plays a huge part in helping us to get services right."
Questions can be about any subject causing local concern tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, airport plans in the Thames Estuary or how public services in Medway will cope in economically challenging times.
To put a question to the panel email it with contact details to Lee.winter@medway.gov.uk or write to You Say, We’ll Listen – Medway Question Time, c/o Communications Team, Medway Council, Dock Road, Chatham, ME4 4TR.
The deadline for submitted questions is 6pm on Wednesday, December 2.
