A police helicopter, fire crews, paramedics and police officers all came together this morning as the search for Hilary Dale was brought to a close.
The 62-year-old woman was found in a ditch in Chatham, having been missing for two days.
She was reported missing from the Gillingham Park area on Friday afternoon, with emergency services searching throughout the weekend.
Ms Dale was discovered in Ash Tree Lane at around 9.30am this morning, where she had slipped down a bank.
It is thought she had been wandering around the Medway area for most of the time she was missing, and had fallen into the ditch several hours before being found.
Fire crews used ropes and a stretcher to winch her out of the ditch, before putting her into an ambulance.
She had no life-threatening injuries.
A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "The poor lady had slipped down a bank. She had been out wandering for quite sometime before taking the tumble.
"We winched her out and she was taken to hospital."
She was treated by medics from Kent Search & Rescue before paramedics took over her care and she was then taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
Kent Specials tweeted at the time that there would be a slight delay on the road while the incident was being dealt with.
Ambulance spokesman, Richard Airey, said: "I can confirm that ambulance crews were called at approximately 9.10am to reports a person had reportedly fallen down an embankment.
"Kent Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene and the woman was rescued before being assessed, treated and taken to Medway Maritime Hospital."
