Emergency service descended on a popular summer attraction this afternoon after a person got trapped in the mud.
Fire engines, ambulances and police raced to The Strand in Gillingham just after noon following reports of a person in the mud.
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue said: “Three fire engines attended, as well as the water safety unit, where crews in an inflatable boat helped one person to safety and into the care of SECAmb.”
The person was taken to hospital by ambulance for checks just after 1.30pm.
