A lottery winner has scooped a Euromillions prize which has helped him secure a new home with the winnings.
The mystery player – known only as Mr J from Rochester – bagged the cash after matching five numbers and a Lucky Star via a lucky dip.
He snapped up £141,034.40 following the draw on April 20.
More than eight million players win prizes on National Lottery games each week and winners can choose to share news of their winnings by name, anonymously or in partial publicity.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What brilliant news for Mr. J for winning this fantastic prize. He can now look forward to buying a new home with his windfall.
“We’re encouraging everyone to check their tickets online at national-lottery.co.uk or by downloading the National Lottery app, and to buy or check their tickets in retail in line with government guidance. Playing online via the website or app means that your ticket is checked, and you get an email notification if you win a prize. You can also scan your retail tickets on the National Lottery app to check if you're a winner.”
Each week lottery players generate on average £36 million to fund community projects around the country, charities and support Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
Throughout its history, £43bn has been raised to back good causes.
A further £1.2bn has supported charities and organisations affected by the pandemic.
