Veterans joined cadets and members of the Armed Forces at Remembrance Day services held across Medway.
Hundreds of Army, Navy and Air Force personnel took part in services yesterday (Sunday).
Services were held across the Towns, including at the Royal Naval War Memorial at the Great Lines, Gillingham, in Chatham town centre and at St Margaret’s parish church in Rainham.
The Mayor of Medway, Cllr David Royle, and Admiral Sir Ian Garnett attended the service at the Great Lines.
In nearby Mill Road, at the Royal British Legion’s Act of Remembrance, the deputy mayor and mayoress of Medway, Cllrs Barry Kemp and Joyce Kent, laid wreaths. Police then escorted cadets, veterans and members of the Armed Forces to St Mark’s Church in Gillingham after two buglers sounded Last Post and Reveille.
In Chatham, a Remembrance Day parade was held between Rhodes Street car park behind Debenhams to Victoria War Memorial, in Victoria Gardens where a service was held.
Jonathan Shaw, MP for Chatham and Aylesford, attended along with Labour group leader Cllr Paul Godwin.
MP for Gillingham Paul Clark attended the Rainham Remembrance service at St Margaret’s parish church with his son, while his wife and daughter were present at the Mill Road memorial.
Mr Clark’s family then joined members of the Royal British Legion at the clubhouse in Livingstone Road.
