Drivers are facing delays due to a fallen tree blocking a main road.
Lords Wood Lane in Chatham is currently blocked between Prince Charles Avenue and Scotby Avenue.
Medway Council says it is aware of the situation and is urging drivers to be aware of the conditions caused by Storm Darragh.
A spokesperson said: "We have received reports of a fallen tree on Lords Wood Lane in Walderslade currently blocking the road.
"Our team is addressing the situation.
"We kindly advise all road users to exercise caution this evening as strong winds are expected to increase."
Storm Darragh swept into the UK and across to Kent last night.
People have been told to stay indoors, while others, including in Kent, have been left without power throughout the day.
Several events, including Rochester’s Christmas Market and its annual Dickensian Festival, have also been called off as strong winds and rain are predicted to worsen throughout the evening.
The Met Office has confirmed a yellow weather warning for wind remains in place in the county until 6am tomorrow.
