A family had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at their house yesterday.

The blaze broke out on the first floor of the property in High Street, Wouldham at around 8:15pm.

The cause is suspected to be an electrical fault with a bedside lamp.

Fifteen firefighters spent almost an hour extinguishing the fire, and left at approximately 9:40pm.
