Fatal crash - third arrest

A third person has been arrested in connection with a road accident which killed a mother and daughter in Station Road, Strood.
The man, an 18-year-old who lives in Medway, was the driver of a Seat Ibiza car involved in the incident on Sunday, July 26.

The victims were Elsie Blades, 84, and her 60-year-old daughter Marilyn Herlihy (pictured)
Two other people, a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, who are both from Chatham, were arrested on Thursday, July 30, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The 21-year-old was the driver of a Ford Fiesta, which was in the area at the time.
The third arrest was made on Thursday, August 6, but details have only just been released by police.
All three have been bailed pending further enquiries.
