A fire spread to a garden when a motorbike was dumped and set alight.

A dog walker called 999 after discovering the burning Yamaha bike in Rochester early on Tuesday.

It happened on Priestfields Recreation Ground at about 5.50am.

The vehicle had been abandoned on the edge of the rugby pitches, which are behind a row of houses.

Flames spread to the back of one of the gardens and destroyed part of a fence.
