The festive spirit was in the air last night as Gillingham town centre became the latest to turn on its Christmas lights.
kmfm radio presenters joined residents to get involved with the Christmas spirit as people swarmed Smith Square on High Street to witness the illumination.
Garry and Chelsea from the breakfast show were joined by the radio station's street team as visitors enjoyed a wealth of live entertainment.
Live music took place from 3.45pm as well as dancers and competitions as children were treated to an appearance from Bluey and Bingo from popular BBC children's show Bluey.
The event was put on by Medway Council in association with Medway's Specsavers stores, with the mayor turning on the lights at 5pm.
The council had also brought the festive cheer to Strood and Chatham last weekend.
The festive spirit continues to spread across the Medway towns tonight with Rochester next in line to be lit up for the holidays.
Guests will be welcomed with similar entertainment only the special guest will be Snow White.
The great Medway switch-on will be rounded off next Friday as Rainham brings home the Christmas joy with special guest Paddington Bear .
