The final day of Medway's maiden international sporting event is under way.

Today sees the women's finals at the Modern Pentathlon World Cup at Medway Park in Gillingham.

A record eight women from Team GB have made it through, including 19-year-old Kate French from Meopham.

The day will begin with fencing, where all competitors must play each other. This will be following by swimming and then riding, before the final event of the day, the combined run/shoot.

Yesterday's men's final was won by world champion Adam Marosi of Hungary.

Britain's sole male competitor, Nick Woodbridge, finished 14th.
