Around 20 firefighters were called to the scene just before 7pm last night.

They used surrounding jets to cover the blaze as well as a super fine mist to suppress the flames.

The fire was brought under control in around two hours but crew remained at the scene overnight.

A spokesman from Strood station said: "Crews were at the scene on a watching brief until about 8am this morning. The fire was allowed to burn out under control."
