Firefighters tackled another blaze at the former MidKent College campus in Rochester, yesterday, Sunday, evening.

A large workshop on the City Way site went up in flames at about 6pm. A total of 36 firefighters were called out to tackle the fire.

An investigation into the cause of the blaze is taking place.

Last week, crews put their new PPV (Positive Pressure Ventilation) machines into use when a fire, which broke out in a former office on the site filled the building with thick smoke.

It is suspected that fire was started deliberately.

The campus has been closed since the summer when the college relocated to a new, purpose-built building on the Lower Lines in Gillingham.
