A basement fire broke out in the middle of the night.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene in Malvern Road in Gillingham in the early hours of this morning.
Crews wore breathing apparatus after the small blaze started in the lower floors of the house at about 1.30am.
They used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames and were present at the fire for about an hour.
No injuries were reported and it is said the cause was an electrical fault.
