A woman was treated by paramedics after a shed caught fire in a back garden.
Plumes of smoke were seen in Darnley Road, Strood this evening.
An image received by KentOnline shows smoke coming from the blaze shortly after 5.30pm.
Another resident shared a photo of a shed on fire in the garden of the property.
A spokeswoman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to reports of a shed alight Darnley Road.
“Four fire engines attended, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using a hose reel jet and a main jet.
“One person was handed into the care of SECAmb paramedics after sustaining smoke inhalation.
“No other injuries were reported, and the cause is not yet known”.
Firefighters left the incident just before 8.20pm.
But it is thought the fire spread to the house.
One woman said: “This is my friend’s house. She has lost everything so if anyone would like to donate clothes etc please keep her in mind”.
