Firefighters tackled a blaze at a home after a fireplace lit downstairs spread to an upstairs bedroom.
Two fire engines were sent to the scene at a house in Springfield Road, Gillingham shortly before 4pm yesterday.
Crews wore breathing apparatus and used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames, before using high pressured fans to clear the property of smoke.
No casualties were reported.
It’s believed the fire was caused accidentally after a fireplace was lit downstairs and spread to a bedroom above.
